Emma Stewart (BSc Hons, MCSP, SRP)

Emma qualified in 2003 from Brunel University. She has worked in the NHS, the private sector and professional sport (Wasps and Esher RFC, Fulham FC and Great Britain Judo) until returning to the NHS in 2008 to lead the musculoskeletal outpatient team at Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital. She still works at Stanmore on a part-time basis and has daily experience of treating complex orthopaedic conditions, muscle patterners, hypermobility syndromes and scoliosis. She has also presented nationally on long-term rehabilitation following cartilage graft surgery and gluteal tendinopathy at The British Hip Scoiety Conference 2015

Emma is also a qualified Sports Massage Therapist.

Lisa Simmonds (BSc Hons, MCSP, SRP)

Lisa also qualified in 2003 from Brunel University and has worked in the NHS and private sector. In 2011 she was awarded a Diploma in Orthopaedic Medicine, including soft tissue and joint injections, before returning to the NHS in her current post as a clinical specialist in musculoskeletal physiotherapy at the Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust. Here she is the clinical lead in the physiotherapy department and works as an Orthopaedic Triage Practitioner receiving referrals directly from GPs and liaising closely with consultant orthopaedic surgeons and rheumatologists. She also runs a specialist soft tissue and joint injection clinic. She has lectured on injection therapy at the University of Hertfordshire and regularly teaches GP trainees in the assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal conditions.
